You try to hide from the T-rex by ducking behind a bush. It doesn't work. The T-rex grabs you with its mouth, but doesn't decide to eat you. Instead, it carries you around for days until it trips on a vine and drops you into a tar pit. Your lower body is stuck, and your upper body is pecked to death by dodo birds. You hope that the nutrients of your body will extend the existence of their species just long enough to become protected by some kind of nature group. That will be your legacy.
